Survey Programmer/Data Analyst - closing March 22, 2010

Halifax:  CRA is seeking a ‘data-literate’ individual to play a key role in the development and implementation of the company’s wide-ranging research projects, including survey programming, data analysis, tabulation and database management.

The successful candidate will have an undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, marketing, informatics), strong analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.  Experience with computer programming languages, database management, and market research projects are definite assets, as is the ability to utilize analysis/tabulation software (e.g., SPSS, SAS) and Microsoft Office.

The ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and work well in a team atmosphere is a must with preference given to those with previous experience in public opinion or quantitative research.  Bilingualism is considered an asset.

Bilingual Research Associate

This position requires a self-directed bilingual individual to manage both qualitative and quantitative projects including custom research studies for public and private sector clients. 

The successful candidate will have a degree in marketing or social sciences, have worked in marketing research at least five years (on the supplier or client side), have strong experience in qualitative research (including moderation) and have an interest in developing strategic client partnerships.  Demonstrated analytical and report writing capabilities, project management experience, and a proven ability in new business development will be strengths of the selected individual.  Bilingualism is essential.

Bilingual Research Associate - Qualitative Division

This position requires an expert bilingual moderator to manage projects in an expanding qualitative research area.

The successful candidate will have worked in qualitative research for five to eight years, have extensive experience using advanced moderating techniques and have a keen interest in developing strategic client partnerships.  Strong analytical and report writing capabilities are essential.  Fluency in French and the ability to conduct groups in both English and French are essential.
